A Year in Review

It's been a full year since I began the Veggie Doc.  I am still in awe of how many new recipes I have tried and blogged.  I know I don't blog every day, but for the most part I cook something from scratch every day, many things that are made too quickly to take pictures and post.  I rarely make the same dish twice except for a few favorites that never fail to please.

I have learned a lot this year, of course about blogging and food, but also about life, and obviously medicine.  I've encountered problems I never thought I'd face in my life.  More importantly, I've experienced a ton of awesome, joyful, unplanned moments.  The things we don't see coming take on good forms and bad, and I believe I am becoming more graceful at accepting both kinds.

As for readers of this blog-- THANK YOU for following me throughout the year.  Most of you are family and friends, but slowly and surely some new readers are making their way to the Facebook page via Pinterest.  Because of how hectic my life can be, I have considered ending The Veggie Doc at the end of this year, but as I look back on all of the food and conversations that have come from the blog, I realize that I don't want to give it up just yet.  It is my way of getting my mind off of medicine for a small part of each day to stay focused on my love of cooking and creating meals.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from this year in review:
